Lovely stay at the Rusty Mackerel! Had a lovely room tucked away at the back, offering the perfect mix of comfort and quiet while still being steps away from the best bar around. The atmosphere is unbeatable – great fun, fantastic live music, and such a lively traditional vibe. Add in the yummy food, friendly staff, and stunning Donegal surroundings, and it made for a really memorable stay. Can’t wait to come back for the 5th time next year! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Rusty Mackerel is a terrific pub with a great vibe. The food was great and there were several options on the breakfast menu.

Incredible location & hugely fun bar. Food good too. My only wish was having bigger rooms available & better beds.

It’s a beautiful location and it’s good being able to stay at this popular pub. The breakfasts and dinners were freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff were lovely and there was live music at night. Glad we just booked two nights though as while the rooms are new and had all we needed, they have no windows - just a skylight.

Very handy location for all walks, craic was good. Warm cosy atmosphere.

Good ambience and good stout. All in all a good experience but definitely on the expensive side for food/drink.

I booked it for the food, music and proximity to the Cliffs. The friendly service and comfortable stay exceeding my expectations! I would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!
